How many car seats fit in a ford edge
Chanklis said:. I'm gonna try at least! I'm a tad worries about my twin 3 year olds be…. I'm worried about my 3 yr old too! LOL I hope they become more obedient! I just wanted to tell you a 6 year old and a 4 year old should most definetly still be harnessed. Join carseats for littles on FB for more info and help. They can help you fit 3 harnessed seats in the back seat.
Its like a puzzle thing for those carseat techs. LOL I hope they become more obedien…. We also have a ford edge, and I have a graco 4ever all in one convertible car seat for my 2 year old, and then a pretty wide booster seat for my nephew! But my parents have a cosco convertible car seat and we tried putting them all together in my ford edge and it fit perfect! You can get the car seat and the head and body cushion so the baby will fit snugly in it!
It's the smallest car seat we could find, and it'll last till the baby is bigger! My daughter fits in it perfectly and she's almost 3!
Clek Foonf x3. Graco Size4Me 65 x3. Graco Contender x3. Diono Radian RXT x3. Diono Radian R x3. Combi Coccoro x3. The current generation of the Ford Edge is inches long and 76 inches wide, which means that any car seats that fit in the previous generation for 3 across setups are basically guaranteed to fit into the current generation. I will this weekend though. I'll let you know how it goes.
If I can get the middle installed corrrectly then the rest should work out. We aren't getting a new car so I have to make this work. The issue is 2 car seats on the 60 side. There is plenty of room on the 40 side for an infant seat. I don't currently have 2 Radians, only 1, but I am going to try my Radian RF in the middle and ultimately purchase another Radian FF behind the driver.
It will fit though so I feel confident the Radian will work better since getting to the buckle there is impossible plus the Radian is narrower than the Cybex. My DD really needs to be harnessed anyway.
I have an afterschool child in a HBB that will fit fine behind the passenger seat. Like I said there is plenty of room there so a Chicco infant carrier should work fine. I would want the infant in a carrier if at all possible. So much easier to transport around especially when they fall asleep in the carrier. That is the 60 side of the split bench. Then the Chicco baby carrier will have no issues fitting behind the passenger seat on the 40 side of the split bench.
You will need your husband to help get a tight fit on the Radian in the middle. I have always been able to get great installs in both our vehicles with all our car seats without help. It was impossible to do the middle Radian RF in the Edge for me by myself. I put all my weight in the seat while my husband pulled and snatched on the seat belt to get out all the slack. I am ordering our second Radian today to go behind the drivers seat.
I am confidant it will work though. Our Cybex X-Fix almost fits there. Well I can get it to fit, but the back hits the door. Not a great install so we are getting another Radian. I currently have our Evenflo Truimph behind the passenger with room to spare so I know your Chicco baby carrier will fit.
Is a Graco LBB a backless booster? Did it fit between the seat belt paths okay? It will be several years and by then my DD could be in a backless booster if I had to. I cannot get anything FF in the middle due to that horrible molded headrest!!!
I found this thread when searching. I drive a Ford Edge and surprise surprise we are expecting are 3rd. So we need to fit 3 carseats now which I think will be very tight, but possibly doable--wll try out this week.
