I personally like golems like the gods, APO, the temple guardians, Odin and others, however, its not like you can start with any of these.

I would advise you experiment with different golems, see what each has to offer you can check this in the menu for skills and abilities they have before taking them out to battle and how you like them.

Then you should consider mix and matching based on elements you may lack or want more of, offense vs defense vs healing abilities and passive traits that the golems themselves have. Remember, golems will never be able to learn new abilities, but humans can so I always keep the humans up to speed and then pick my favorite golems as the game progresses. Marlin Glaive is excellent very beginning game and so is Onyx the black knight looking guy, drawing a blank what his name is now.

Of course no matter what you do, you need to understand the stat system, and boost the appropriate stats for the golems you want to use, ie Direct for physical, Ranged for ranged attacks and Support for support abilities like HP drain, etc. Sorry for the wall of text. I have those golems waiting and levelling up on my list :. I can't understand why so many people keep recommending Lord Onyx? It's one of the dozen or so crappiest golems in the game, just two generic and unimpressive attacks, and by the time you could get it you could already have a Knight Servant that's far more powerful in every way. But anyway, trying to take the topic question as: which would be the most powerful golems to have leveled up for end game, my thinking is for golems with unique effects or damage potential that's better than any of the humans.
